BMW has revealed first information and pictures of the updated BMW 1 series hatchback. The Geneva Motor Show 2015 would be showcasing BMW 1 series facelift.
Things to watch for in the updated BMW-1 series:
- A new version of front and rear styling.
- Improved infotainment system
- New range of 3-cylinder engines for global markets and new four-cylinder units as well
- All about being more powerful and fuel efficient.
The improved diesel engine of this facelifted BMW 1-series is shared by the latest Mini. The BMW 1 series is a rear wheel drive (RWD), the motors of the car have been turned 90 degrees into a longitudinal setup. New BMW 1 series facelift features updated ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox that is going to be a standard across the range.
The tail lamps are now more in line with BMW’s family style, all thanks to a shallower main unit & unique blades that run in from the edges of the rear hatch itself. LED technology is also made standard across this range.
New BMW 1-series’ cabin gets more modest upgrades, including a piano-black finish to the centre console on all trim levels, chrome highlights on the radio and air vents and, in a throwback to BMWs of old, an analogue real-time fuel consumption gauge on models without a digital instrument panel.
Updated BMW 1-series hatchback would now get climate control ( single-zone) as standard, with an additional option of a dual-zone system. The entry-level Business stereo gets a power and torque display, while the top-range Professional system could update its map data remotely by using its built-in SIM card.
Looking forward for the Geneva Motorshow 2015!
