2016 Chevrolet Cruze Facelift launched in India

General Motors’ Chevrolet has launched a new updated version of Chevrolet Cruze which is actually the final facelift the sedan receives before the introduction of all-new generation Chevrolet Cruze to Indian market.

The updated version of Chevrolet Cruze looks brilliant and the sedan comes with lot of sporty elements. The updated model of Chevrolet Cruze gets a redesigned front bumper, grille, rear spoiler as well as a new boot lid spoiler. The updated Cruze also gets a very striking LED DRLs and the car’s new fog lamps gets the projectors too. All in all, the car’s mild changes to exterior components have made the Chevrolet Cruze look very fresher than its predecessor.

Talking about the interiors of Chevrolet Cruze, the dashboard and centre console of the Cruze would continue to have the same layout, there are quite a few changes to the equipment list and features like MyLink infotainment system, rear view camera, etc. are available. The infotainment system comes with a 7-inch touch screen and gets functions like internet radio, Grace Note and Siri Eyes Free compatibility. Features like Bluetooth streaming, voice recognition and touch controls for the AC are also present. Another highlight is the new multifunction steering wheel.

Engine

Under the hood, the 2016 Chevrolet Cruze shall comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged VCDI diesel engine that pumps out 166 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The oil-burner is offered with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The manual variant of Chevrolet Cruze has a fuel efficiency of 17.9 kmpl while the automatic gearbox churns out 14.81 kmpl.
