Volkswagen, Europe’s leading manufacturer today announced its monthly sales performance for September 2016, selling 3,929 units as compared to 3,226 units sold in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Mr. Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said,
Continuing a steady growth, Volkswagen has marked 22% of growth in sales figures for the month of September 2016. With our recent introduction of Ameo TDI and TDI DSG automatic along with the advent of festive season, we are expecting a positive shift in consumer buying sentiment. We have witnessed an encouraging start of festive season and with expanded product portfolio backed by inauguration of three new dealerships we hope to boost our performance further in coming months.
With the beginning of the festive season the brand expects to see a positive shift in this year’s sales. Volkswagen India has already succeeded in drawing the car buyers’ attention by announcing special festive offers and Volksfest 2016 across India. The company has also strengthened its dealership network by inaugurating three new dealerships in Nerul – Maharashtra, Agra – Uttar Pradesh and Malappuram – Kerala to provide better accessibility to it’s customers.
