Renault, the number one European automotive brand in India, has launched its stylish SUV – CAPTUR with enhanced safety features in compliance with the regulations stipulated by the Indian authorities. The new CAPTUR is equipped with numerous active and passive safety features across all variants along with a host of other new enhancements. Renault CAPTUR is certified to exceed frontal, lateral and pedestrian safety and is compliant with safety features stipulated by the Indian authorities. The reinforced body shell increases torsional rigidity to ensure passengers are always safe. The new Renault CAPTUR is equipped with a host of active and passive safety features like dual airbags, Antilock-Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist, Speed alert, Rear parking sensor, Driver & Co-Driver seat belt reminder, height adjustable seat-belts, lateral ISOFIX – child seat anchor, rear defogger, rear wiper & washer, and speed sensing auto door lock. All these safety features are standard across all versions of the new Renault CAPTUR.

The new Auto fold ORVM with Welcome function is synced with the smart access card’s walk-away lock which makes entry & exit from the vehicle an absolute cakewalk. The Platine is also loaded with the unique Innovated Lighting System (ILS) comprising the Sparkle Full LED headlamps, Floating Indicators, Sapphire LED DRL, Ripple Tail lamps accentuating the Captur’s signature design. In addition, the PLATINE offers six fashion inspired dual tone options, Moonlight Silver with Black roof being a new combination. 2019 Renault CAPTUR Engine, Design and Mileage
Renault CAPTUR is available with both petrol and diesel powertrain options. For the petrol option, it is powered by the 16 valves 4 cylinders 1.5L H4K petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, producing 106 PS at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The petrol powertrain delivers a mileage of 13.87 kmpl (ARAI certified).
The diesel version is powered by the 1.5L K9K diesel engine (common rail injection), mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivering a maximum power of 110 PS at 3,850 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The diesel powertrain delivers a mileage of 20.37 kmpl (ARAI certified).
