Nissan Gravite: A Closer Look at the Teaser Images
Nissan India has officially pulled the wraps off the name and design cues of its upcoming B-segment MPV, the Nissan Gravite. Expected to launch in January 2026, the Gravite shares its platform with the Renault Triber but adopts a far more aggressive and “muscular” design language.

Frontal Design and Presence The first teaser showcases the Gravite’s bold front fascia, dominated by a wide hexagonal gloss-black grille and a muscular, sculpted bonnet. It features sleek wraparound headlamps split by a central chrome garnish that integrates seamlessly with the Nissan logo. A standout element is the prominent “GRAVITE” lettering embossed across the lip of the hood, giving the MPV a premium, SUV-inspired aesthetic. The overall design signals a more authoritative and modern stance than its segment rivals.

LED Signature and Branding This top-down diagonal perspective highlights the vehicle’s advanced lighting technology, specifically the unique segmented horizontal LED DRLs. The “dashed” lighting effect within the headlamp clusters provides a futuristic signature, complemented by a sleek chrome strip that runs along the hood’s edge. High-detail shots of the silver-finished “GRAVITE” letters on the bonnet emphasize Nissan’s strategic shift toward a more lifestyle-oriented brand identity. The sharp body creases visible in the shadows suggest a well-defined and premium body shell.

Intricate Textures and Muscularity The third teaser provides a head-on close-up of the central fascia, revealing a “jewel-like” intricate pattern within the hexagonal grille. Dual muscular bulges on the bonnet add to the vehicle’s “tough” crossover look, while C-shaped bumper accents frame the lower face to create a planted, athletic stance. This view confirms a high-quality mix of chrome, gloss black, and matte textures, distinguishing the Gravite as a more premium offering in the compact MPV segment.

Reworked Rear Profile The final teaser focuses on the rear, revealing clear-lens taillights with a sharp, J-shaped LED signature that wraps around the body. A thick horizontal chrome bar connects the taillights across the tailgate, housing the Nissan emblem and creating a sense of width. Prominent “GRAVITE” branding is repeated on the lower tailgate, while the reworked rear bumper features C-shaped accents that mirror the front design for a cohesive, modern look.
Lastly, the teaser reveals a reworked rear bumper that incorporates C-shaped accents, echoing the design of the front. These accents likely house the reflectors and add a layer of depth to the rear profile. Above, a small integrated spoiler and a rear wiper point to the functional practicality that Indian families expect from a 7-seater.
