Aprilia SR125 might launch in India soon
Aprilia is the first one in the country to bring a new category of 2 wheelers – the “Sports Scooter Bike” segment. Aprilia SR150, the 150cc scooter is the first one to be in the sports scooter bike category. Aprilia is rumoured to launch 125cc scooter in India soon. Aprilia SR150 is quite a successful model and has reported a good monthly sales each month – the company recently launched brand Aprilia SR150 Race edition that came with racing stickers and higher power output figures.
There are reports and rumours that Aprilia SR 125 is going to be the next product from Piaggio’s Aprilia opening up the room for 125cc scooter segment under the Aprilia branding. The upcoming Aprilia SR125 will be priced lesser than the SR150 and there is going to be minor design changes with updated stickers on it. The upcoming Aprilia SR125 is not going to be as powerful as SR150 and is expected to deliver power output of 9.2 hp. The 125cc Aprilia SR125 is already available in other markets like Australia and is popularly known as SR125 Motard or SR125 M.
Aprilia SR125 Price and Launch
Piaggio’s Aprilia SR125 is going to be priced lesser than the existing Aprilia SR150 or Aprilia SR150 Race. Expect the price of Aprilia SR125 to be around or less than INR 60,000.
The launch of Aprilia SR125 is expected to happen in the month of September 2017.
When launched, Aprilia SR125 is going to compete against the likes of other 125cc scooters like Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125 etc. The launch of Aprilia SR125 will also increase choice for the consumers in the scooter cartegory.
