Ampere Vehicles, a wholly owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton, announces the expansion of its Electric Vehicle distribution network with 23 new dealerships across the country since September 2019, taking the brand’s presence across India.
With the new dealership stores, commuters will now have access to an exciting range of high performing e-scooters that are eco-friendly with running cost as low as 15 paise per kilometer.
Commuters in different regions of India can now buy all of Ampere’s existing and soon to be launched e-scooters from the dealerships in the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. Ampere’s e-scooters include the fast selling hi-speed EV ‘Zeal’ – along with medium to low-speed models like V-48 LA, Magnus 60, Reo LA and REO Li.

Recently, Zeal became one of the fast selling electric scooters in the high-speed segment. In the last 10 years of its journey, Ampere Vehicles has sold electric scooters to over 50,000 happy commuters. To mark the milestone, Ampere vehicles has announced a host of consumer-friendly offers including free insurance scheme for high-speed ‘Zeal’ electric scooter besides the FAME-II benefit and free accessories up to Rs 1000 on other vehicle models.
Electric scooters segment in India though smaller part of two-wheeler pie currently, is growing significantly, according to the estimates of Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles (SMEV). Ampere Electric Vehicles has a significant presence in the Indian electric two-wheeler industry along with a range of multi-speed, affordable electric scooters that are currently popular with commuters making a switch from conventional mobility mediums to electric two-wheelers.
