Bajaj Auto: This year was a busy time for Bajaj as it have joined with KTM and released KTM RC range in India. There were also some new Discover and Pulsar which was launched in India by Bajaj Auto. All these were good for Bajaj but the domestic sales got down by 12 %.
Earlier this year Bajaj went forward with its Discover series and launched Discover 150cc.And now this New Entry level vehicle will be placed below 150cc (ie either 100cc or 125 cc).
Rajiv Bajaj Managing Director of Bajaj said, ” We have two significant launches in the Pulsar and Platina segment. Together, they will yield two per cent market share. In the first half of this year, we had a significant launch of Discover (150cc). We will (now) implement it downwards in 100-125cc. This will bring us to 25-26 per cent market share in the first half of next year. Then, in the second half, I would like to go to 30 per cent, for which we have to do something remarkable. It is a marketing move, not some great technology change. There is an opportunity to create something big.”
Bajaj in entry level competes with Hero HF Deluxe, TVS Sport and Yamaha’s YBR 110.Let us know what you think in the comments Below.
