Popular German automotive company – BMW is all set to launch the facelifted BMW 6-series in India on May 29 this year. Although the facelifted car comes with minor styling changes, the car retains the 3 litre straight-six diesel engine from its predecessor.
Changes in the exteriors of the facelifted car are minor with following changes –
- Completely restyled front and rear bumpers.
- Brand new-look kidney grille
- New redesigned alloy wheels
- LED headlamps.

There are also four different exterior colours which you can choose from. In the interiors, the facelifted 6-series gets new two-tone leather upholstery and a heads up display, the rest of the cabin carrying on unchanged. BMW claims interior quality has been improved and is more upmarket now.
Talking about the specs of this car, the new BMW 6-series to sports the same 3.0 litre straight-six diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 309bhp and 64.2kgm of torque which is same as that of its predecessors. It sends power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Power transmission to rear wheels happens via an eight-speed automated gearbox.
The BMW 6-series facelift would be imported into India in the form of CBUs and it shall compete against its long-term rivals like Mercedes’ CLS class.
