BMW Group India has announced a phenomenal performance for the first nine months of the calendar year (January – September) 2025, posting its highest-ever car sales during this period. The company retailed a total of 11,978 cars, registering a solid 13% growth over the previous year.
The third quarter (July – September) was particularly strong, with BMW Group India achieving its highest-ever Q3 sales at 4,204 units, displaying a robust +21% year-on-year growth. This accelerated growth was further propelled by best-ever September sales, driven by the positive effects of new GST pricing and intense festive season demand.

BMW Group India cemented its position as the most preferred luxury EV brand in the country, leading the charge toward sustainable mobility with astounding growth figures:
- EV Volume and Growth: The company delivered 2,509 electric BMWs and MINIs during the January to September period, registering a remarkable growth of +246% year-on-year.
- Sales Share: The share of EVs in total sales further increased to 21%.
- Best-Selling Models: The BMW iX1 was the highest-selling electric car, closely followed by the flagship BMW i7 in second place.
- Cumulative Deliveries: BMW Group India has raced past 5,000 electric deliveries till date in the third quarter.
- Charging Ecosystem: The strong portfolio is complemented by a robust charging service ecosystem, including initiatives like BMW Destination Charging, Smart E-Routing, and Charging Concierge.

- Segment Growth: LWB models saw a massive growth of +169% year-on-year, with 5,720 units delivered between January and September.
- Sales Share: The LWB models’ share in sales grew to 50% in this period.

- The BMW 3 Series was the highest-selling BMW sedan (with a 16% share in sales). It is also recognized as a class leader for having the most spacious second seat row and most powerful petrol engine in its segment.
- The BMW 7 Series is the most desirable ultra-luxury limousine in its segment.
- Models: The LWB range includes the 7 Series, 5 Series, 3 Series, and iX1.
B. Sports Activity Vehicles (SAV)
- Segment Growth and Dominance: BMW Group SAVs recorded sales of 7,040 units, showing +19% growth year-on-year. The segment now dominates 59% of total sales.
- Best-Selling Model: The BMW X1 was the highest selling SAV for BMW (over 30% share in sales) and in the Indian premium compact SAV segment.
- Flagship: The flagship BMW X7 was the second highest sold SAV from the Luxury Class.
Motorrad and MINI Performance
- BMW Motorrad: Delivered 3,976 motorcycles in the Q1-Q3 period. The BMW G 310 RR was the most popular smart-cc bike. Among the imported bikes, the BMW 1300 GS/GSA were the best-selling models.
