Extramile Gas Tech launches Battery-operated e-rickshaw in Bangalore
Eco-friendly e-rickshaw, Road King, indigenously fabricated by Extramile Gas Tech, is all set to make its presence in all the metro cities in India.
The cost-effective e-rickshaw runs at a cost of just 65 paise per kilometre. An 8-hour charge of this battery-operated e-rickshaw gives a mileage of 100 kilometres.
The light-weight Road King weighs 450 kg with a seating capacity of 4 + 1. Available at a price of Rs 1.25 lakh it consumes a mere 8 units of power.
With a possibility of a ban on two-stroke auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws with its cost-efficiency is bound to attract owners of conventional autorickhaws.
Electric rickshaws (or e-rickshaws) are becoming more popular in some cities as an alternative to auto rickshaws because of their low fuel cost. They are being widely accepted as an alternative to petrol/diesel/CNG auto rickshaws.
Conventionally e-rickshaws have been available in the market on import-and-assemble model from China. However, Extramile Gas Tech have endeavoured to create in-house production facilities for all major components which go towards building of superior quality e-rickshaw.
