India’s Largest Electric two-wheeler company, Hero Electric has delivered electric bikes to Sivakasi based Pioneer Asia Group – India’s largest match producers. Hero Electric has supplied the first 12 electric bikes to the company and further orders are under discussion. To assist its employees to avoid public transport amid the pandemic and promote green environment, Pioneer Asia Group is giving these Hero electric bikes to its employees to commute to work. The company has an employee strength of more than 400 including the factory staff.
With its recent launch of the Optima-HX under the “City Speed” variants, Hero Electric’s two-wheelers will ensure low running cost, high-performance, enhanced riding comfort, best value for money, and peace of mind with its proven reliability and various other customizable features for its clients.
Pioneer Asia Group was founded in 1945 with the setting up of Pioneer Match Works at Sivakasi by Sri K.A.A. Sankaralingam and Sri K.A.A. Arunachalam. It has grown to its present strength of being the 2nd largest match producers in India and having a group turnover of INR 750 Crores. Along with the growth in the match industry, the group has diversified and established itself in Textiles, Wind Energy, Chemicals, Infrastructure Development, Printing & Packaging, Plantations, and Non-Ferrous Forging. The Group also has a presence in Sri Lanka, Taiwan & China. Asia Match Company under the Pioneer group is a recognized manufacturer and exporter of a range of matchsticks such as kitchen matchsticks, safety & wax matchstick, etc.
