Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, sold 501622 units of two-wheelers in the month of January 2020.
Having rapidly scaled up the production of BS-VI vehicles, Hero MotoCorp introduced India’s first entry segment BS-VI motorcycle – the HF-Deluxe and its first BS-VI scooter – the Pleasure+ 110 in the market during the month of January. Hero MotoCorp’s entire scooter portfolio has migrated to BS-VI, and the Company has stopped producing any BS-IV scooter.
In keeping with its customer centric approach, Hero MotoCorp organised its multi-city riding experience activity – ‘XTracks – Live the thrill’ in Kochi in January. Kochi was the eighth city to experience the Indian Motorcycle of the Year – Hero XPulse 200, on a specially curated off-road track through this unique riding event. The other cities where enthusiasts and riders have already experienced the thrill of XTracks include Delhi/NCR, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Lucknow and Pune.
Hero MotoCorp also hosted the fifth edition of Hero Campus Challenge (HCC) – its campus-focused, business-solutions oriented competition to encourage young minds by providing opportunities to kick-start their careers. The fifth season of the innovative program successfully engaged over 32,000 engineering and management students from across the country. The HCC concluded with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras and Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur emerging victorious in the Engineering and B-school categories respectively.
