Honda Hornet 160R launch on November 19th
The new CB Hornet 160R was first shown at Revfest event that was held in August 2015 along with other bikes like CBR650F. Reports have confirmed that Honda Hornet 160R will be officially launched in India on November 19th.
The upcoming Honda CB Hornet 160R motorcycle is set to replace the Honda CB Trigger in India. Hornet 160R shall taken on its competitors like Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ and other bikes in this segment. Talking about the engine and specification details of the bike, Honda CB Hornet 160R would feature a 162.71cc, air-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 14.5bhp and torque of 14.61Nm. The existing Unicorn 160 is also equipped with same engine, with attractive offerings like high acceleration and sporty performance with Honda Eco Technology (HET).
When it comes to dimensions and build, The motorcycle rides on multi-spoke alloy wheels that are expected to be wrapped with 80/100-17and 130mm wide front and rear tyres respectively.
Talking about the suspension system of Honda Hornet 160R. The bike will be equipped with telescopic front fork and semi-loaded rear mono suspension system. The design of CB Hornet is derived from the CX-01 concept, that was debuted at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The Hornet 160R motorcycle looks very masculine and sporty with a very attractive fuel tank, headlamp with minimal fairing, silver tailpiece, split grab rails, X-shaped LED taillamps, dual tone front mud guard, high-mounted handlebar, highlight knee recesses, black centre piece and the plastic side cowls, etc.
When launched, Honda Hornet 160R will take on its rivals like Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ and more. We will have to wait and watch how this 160cc Hornet will perform in the competing market.
