Honda to increase price range of its entire range by INR 10,000
Car manufacturer Honda’s Indian arm, Honda Cars India, today made an announcement that it would be increasing the price of its entire product range by INR 10,000. Just last week, Honda Cars India launched WR-V premium cross-over hatchback in Delhi.
Effective first week of April, the price of all cars in the Honda Cars India portfolio will be increased by INR 10,000. Except the recently launched Honda WR-V cross hatchback, the company will be hiking the price of its entire range by INR 10,000.
Why Honda is increasing the price for its entire product range? Honda Cars India has attributed the price hike to increased input as well as freight costs. Honda Cars India’s senior Vice President of sales and marketing Mr Jnaneswar Sen said in a statement,
Because of the unpredictable increase in the freight charges and also the input costs, we are required to increase the prices of entire car models starting April month. The increase in price shall happen from the first week of April. However, Honda WR-V’s price remains unchanged and the price hike will not be done for Honda WR-V buyers.
This is Honda Cars India’s 2nd price hike in the year 2017, the first price hike was done in the month of January.
