Hyundai Creta bookings cross 100,000 units
Think of any premium class compact SUV, the first thing which comes to our mind is Hyundai Creta. Creta which made its global debut in India on July 2015 is well received by consumers across the country.
The South Korean automobile giant Hyundai in an official statement announced that it crossed 100,000 bookings for Hyundai Creta today. In order to meet the huge demand, Hyundai had earlier announced their plans to increase production capacity of their plant to 13,000 units per month, out of which 10,000 units is for the domestic market and rest for countries outside India.
It is just not the Indian market where Hyundai Creta is receiving good response, but also there is a very good demand for the Creta in other markets like Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru & Panama, Oman, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco & Nigeria.
Hyundai Creta’s prices were very recently increased by INR 26,000 to INR 65,000 from base version to the range-topping SX (O) variant. The original price of Hyundai’s compact SUV used to be priced in the range INR 8.69 lakhs to INR 11.29 lakhs for the petrol variant and price INR 9.56 – INR 13.8 lakhs for the diesel variants (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
Hyundai Creta’s Engine lineup comprises of 1.6-liter petrol as well as diesel engines and a base 1.4-liter diesel engine. Creta gets a 6-speed manual transmission as a standard across all its range, and a 6-speed AT Automatic gearbox is also available for 1.6-liter diesel engine model.
