Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit Petrol launched at Rs. 75.15 lakh

FCA India today announced the launch of the ‘petrol’ version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee in India at Rs. 75.15 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The company also announced upgrades in the entire range of luxury SUVs along with new prices, thereby offering more value to Indian customers.

The New Jeep Completely Built Units (CBU) will be available at the following ex-showroom, New Delhi prices with immediate effect –

  • · Grand Cherokee Limited Diesel at Rs. 75.15 lakh
  • · Grand Cherokee Summit Diesel at Rs. 85.15 lakh
  • · Grand Cherokee SRT at Rs. 1.07 crore
  • · Wrangler Unlimited Diesel at Rs. 64.45 lakh
  • · The price of the Wrangler Unlimited Petrol remains unchanged at Rs. 56 lakh

Commenting on the move, Kevin Flynn – President and Managing Director, FCA India said,

Our directly-imported Jeep® SUV portfolio is now complete with the addition of the Grand Cherokee Summit Petrol. Latest models of the New Jeep® Grand Cherokee and Wrangler Unlimited, at new India prices, are available with immediate effect at all Jeep-exclusive and FCA dealerships across the country. We believe the new package with visual and technological enhancements on offer will elevate the driving and ownership experience for Indian customers.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit (Petrol)

The latest addition to the Jeep® range of SUVs is powered by the award-winning 289.6 PS, 347 Nm, 3.6-litre Pentastar engine, married to an upgraded eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission.

The ‘Gen II’ automatic transmission is engineered to deliver improved overall performance resulting in less drag on the clutches. Its optimized lubrication has improved clutch durability, shift response, consistency enabling smoother quality downshifts. This Gen II 8-speed paddle shift transmission will also be offered in the Diesel variants of the Grand Cherokee.

The New Jeep® Grand Cherokee Package

Besides the Gen II automatic transmission, the Grand Cherokee’s Limited and Summit variants now get the new 75th Anniversary fascia with enhanced ‘billet-like’ plating on the grille slots while the SRT gets upper and lower cooling intakes on the front fascia.

New alloys – 18-inch, high gloss silver painted aluminum will be standard on the Grand Cherokee Limited; 20-inch, polished aluminum with Technical Grey painted pockets standard on the Summit; 20-inch, full polished with satin clear coat, standard on the SRT and 20-inch Matte Black split spoke also available on the SRT.

Air suspension is introduced and will now be standard on both the Petrol and Diesel ‘Summit’ trim of the New Grand Cherokee and LED fog lamps will be standard across the entire range.

The New Jeep® Grand Cherokee range will now be available in six colours, with two new colour inclusions – Billet Silver Metallic, Bright White, Granite Crystal Pearl, True Blue Pearl, Velvet Red (new) and Diamond Black Crystal (new).

Electric Power Steering (EPS) replaces the electro-hydraulic power steering system for improved efficiency whilst vehicle dynamics can be adjusted providing three new select modes – Normal, Comfort and Sport.

’ParkSense’ – a rear park assist system now includes a Start / Stop function that applies the vehicle’s brakes.

All trims, across the range now get an acoustic windshield which helps reduce noise and enhance comfort.
