Lamborghini Mumbai opens its new showroom, marking a new chapter of partnership with Infinity Cars Private Limited, together with the debut of the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder in India. The supercar was unveiled alongside the inauguration of the Lamborghini Mumbai showroom at Prabhadevi, in the presence of Automobili Lamborghini Chief Executive Officer Asia Pacific, Mr. Matteo Ortenzi, and Head of Lamborghini India , Mr. Sharad Agarwal. The open-top car joins its coupé counterpart Huracán EVO launched earlier this year as the second model in the V10 Huracán EVO line-up.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Matteo  Ortenzi,  Chief  Executive  Officer – Automobili  Lamborghini  Asia Pacific, said,

Lamborghini is strong and highly acclaimed worldwide, and the new dealership environment is a tangible demonstration of that. We are also thrilled to expand our footprint in the Indian market through the launch of the Huracán EVO Spyder.

The Spyder adopts the next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics developed for the coupé, with the 5.2 litres naturally aspirated Lamborghini V10 engine uprated for higher power output and incorporating Titanium intake valves. The Huracán EVO Spyder outputs 640 hp (470 kW) at 8,000 rpm with 600 Nm of torque delivered at 6,500 rpm,  with a dry weight of 1,542 kg the car reaches a weight-to-power ratio of 2.41 kg/hp, accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 9.3 seconds. Braking from 100 km/h to 0 is achieved in just 32.2 m, with a top speed of 325 km/h.

The Huracán EVO has received a positive response from the India market since we announced the launch of the car earlier this year. We have seen an increase in the number of supercar aficionados in India which reflects in the demand of our Lamborghini range, including the limited-edition super sports cars. The Huracán EVO Spyder joins its coupé counterpart as the second model in the V10 Huracán EVO line-up. It is synonymous with open-air exhilaration for even more amplified sensation and breath-taking performance. Driving a Spyder is a thrill in itself,

said Mr. Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India.

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder price starts from INR 4.09 (Ex-Showroom) .

Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI)

The Huracán EVO Spyder combines the option of open-air driving with the prowess of the Huracán EVO’s evolutionary technologies. Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) is the technological brain of the EVO Spyder, capable of coordinating a complex and sophisticated system for the management of driving dynamics. Rear-wheel steering and a four-wheel torque vectoring system are controlled centrally by the Central Processing Unit, integrating and controlling every aspect of the car’s set-up and dynamic behavior.

Processing data in real time, the LDVI system monitors and analyses external conditions through its active suspension and all-wheel drive. It also recognises the driver’s intentions through the steering wheel, braking, acceleration, gear and driving mode selected. Precise inputs are given to the vehicle dynamic system, creating a super agile and responsive car with an unparalleled level of control: the car does not just react, but predicts the best driving set-up for the next moment. Based on the driver’s inputs, the external environment and the selected driving mode, LDVI can anticipate the wishes of the driver, shifting from an underlying feedback logic to a ‘feed-forward ‘ one, from reaction to anticipate: this is the real evolution.

Next-generation vehicle dynamics

Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI) version 2.0, launched on the EVO coupé, is a comprehensive set of accelerators and gyroscope sensors located in the car’s centre of gravity, monitoring real-time lateral, longitudinal and vertical accelerations, as well as roll, pitch, and yaw rate. This provides accurate real-time updates of the car’s behaviour.  The magnetorheological suspension, also upgraded to version 2.0, instantaneously adapts the damping following inputs from the LPI. The new advanced traction control system, together with enhanced all-wheel drive and torque vectoring, allows traction to be directed to a single wheel as required. Modified Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) provides higher responsiveness in corners while requiring the lowest steering angles. Coupled with rear-wheel steering, agility is ensured at low speed with maximum stability in high-speed cornering and under severe braking. The result is sensational: improved power transfer and improved traction and safety during everyday trips.

Additionally, its lateral dynamics are handled by a steering system which engages the four wheels through the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering(LDS) and the Lamborghini All-Wheel Steering (LAWS) systems, aided by the  constant distribution of the torque between the two axles (AWD) and the torque vectoring system. At low speeds, the rear axle steers in the opposite direction relative to the front axle, leading to a virtual reduction of the wheelbase, providing greater nimbleness and unrivalled cornering performance. At high speeds, the two rotate in parallel, generating a virtual increase of the wheelbase, thus guaranteeing full control of the car and excellent stability.

The Huracán EVO Spyder is equipped with an Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system which seamlessly adapts to all driving styles to guarantee the best steering assistance, both on track and on the road, while sustaining all the ANIMA driving modes. The EPS is also supported by the Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) system, which provides a dynamic variation of the steering ratio, changing according to the vehicle’s dynamic conditions. Driving the Huracán EVO Spyder is as refined or exciting as the occupant’s desire. The preferred driving mode is selected via the ANIMA system, with STRADA especially calibrated via the LDVI system for road-driving comfort. In SPORT it adopts a fun and exciting persona, with the ability to drift. In CORSA the Huracán EVO Spyder demonstrates its Performante heritage: race-track ready and exhilarating, for the most extreme driving environments.

Improved Aerodynamics

The EVO Spyder design was carefully engineered to improve aerodynamics. Like the EVO coupé, a new front bumper gives the car a low, assertive personality with aerodynamic efficiency improved via the front splitter and enlarged air intakes. At the rear the Huracán EVO Spyder adopts the new rear design evocative of naked race bikes and inspired by Lamborghini Huracán race cars, with the twin outlets of the new sports exhaust system positioned high in the rear bumper. At the upper end of the tail an integrated, slotted spoiler provides enhanced air flow, clearly emphasising the car’s aerodynamic abilities. The underbody has been shaped to maximise aerodynamic efficiency.

The aerodynamic superiority of the Huracán EVO is continued with the Spyder. With roof either up or down, the aerodynamic competency of the EVO Spyder, with more than five times the downforce and efficiency of the original Huracán Spyder, sustains not only the most dynamic handling and performance but the occupants’ comfort. Cabin airflow is minimised and occupants are assured a quiet cockpit environment.

Exterior Design

The side profile of the Huracán EVO Spyder differs significantly from the coupé but is equally dynamic with the roof up or down. Automatic pop-up safety bars are hidden away. The driver can electronically open the rear window, which functions as a windshield when closed and when open, amplifies the song of the EVO Spyder’s unique aspirated engine sound. The electrohydraulic, lightweight, soft top opens via a button positioned on the central tunnel in just 17 seconds up to a driving speed of 50 km/h (31 mph). As the roof silently lowers, two fins in the same color as the body rise upwards out of the folding roof casing towards the seatbacks and once in place continue the line to the rear, enhancing the car’s low, dynamic appearance. An integrated duct between the fins reduces turbulence in the headroom during open-top driving.

The Huracán EVO Spyder is presented in Verde Selvans: an iconic new Lamborghini four-layer green, and one of an enhanced range of colors and trims available for the Huracán EVO coupé and Spyder. Lamborghini’s comprehensive customisation program, Ad Personam, allows virtually limitless personalisation of the new car.  The EVO Spyder sports the new 20” Aesir rims, with Pirelli P Zero tires.

Interior Design

The interior perfectly mirrors the evolutionary design of Huracán EVO Spyder. The new human-machine interface is the ultimate expression of EVO Spyder’s natural and technological evolution. The cockpit features a cutting-edge 8.4” touchscreen system built into the central tunnel. Governing car functions including seats, climat, and the status of the LDVI system in real-time, it also puts all infotainment, such as Apple CarPlay with smartphone integration, at the cabin occupants’ disposal. A multimedia system incorporates connected navigation and entertainment including web radio and video player, with the intuitive interface enabling voice commands. A simple tap controls all driving dynamics, manages entertainment functions, receives real-time information on traffic and adapts the cockpit lights to the current driving mode. The system offers advanced connectivity never seen  before in Huracán. Matched by a new telemetry system that features two cameras to further improve your driving skills.

The exclusive interior finishes, stemming from authentic Italic design, are made with the finest-quality material: the upholstery is available in leather, Alcantara and Carbon Skin, and innovative carbon fiber material exclusively available with Lamborghini.
