Mahindra car prices hiked by upto INR 47,000 w.e.f April 1
India’s leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra has announced that the company will be increasing the prices of its entire model line-up by INR 5,500 to INR 47,000 depending on the model and variants. The new hiked prices will come into effect from April 1, 2015.
Commenting on the price hike announcement by the Indian SUV maker, Pravin Shah, president and chief executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra said that despite the hike in duties on vehicles already in place, the manufacturer would hold off hiking prices to next month allowing customers to avail its products at the pre-budget prices for the month of March.

Although the price hike will be in effect from April 1, the KUV100 which is the recent offering from Mahindra’s price will be hiked with an immediate effect. The petrol version of Mahindra KUV100 is much dearer by 1 percent where as the diesel sibling’s prices have been increased by 2.5 percent.
Mahindra KUV100 has received a very good response since its launch with bookings crossing 21,000 units in mid-February and there is a waiting period extending for as much as 2 months.
With many other auto manufacturers hiking the prices, Mahindra has also joined the list of automakers by announcing the price hike. Soon after the announcement of the new levy on the automotive sector auto manufacturers like Maruti, Hyundai, Honda, Mercedes and Tata announced a hike in prices of all its models with immediate effect.
