Maruti Suzuki has developed an in-house ‘Wellness Mitra App’ to ensure safety and monitor employees’ health on a real time basis
- The Wellness Mitra App resonates with the Aarogya Setu App being developed by Government
- Quick links to download Aarogya Setu App is embedded in the Wellness Mitra App
- Aarogya Setu App is mandatory to ensure contact traceability. Wellness Mitra works in conjunction with Aarogya Setu App
- Over 34,000 employees, including apprentices, of Maruti Suzuki are using the Apps
- A similar App – has been developed for Maruti Suzuki’s dealer and vendor partners to cover entire value chain
- All employees across value chain are requested to update their health status including close family members on the App everyday
- Body temperature of every employee is recorded in the App every day
- The details are closely monitored by reporting Managers, across all locations/States in India
- An employee can also seek ‘Emergency Medical Support’ through the App, if required
- In such cases, help is promptly extended by the Company’s rapid action task force
- Employees who report good health for atleast 14 consecutive days would be allowed to come to work
- Questions asked in the App include symptoms of fever, cough, difficulty in breathing, loss of smell, loss of taste, diarrhoea etc
- The App also checks if there are any COVID-19 positive cases in employees’ vicinity
- Government guidelines of Dos and Don’ts are also broadcasted periodically through Wellness Mitra App
- In addition, the Company has set up a 24×7 help desk to address any concerns and questions of employees
- The Covid-19 Task Force at Maruti Suzuki ensures that all health and safety advisories are followed by employees

We are passing through an unprecedented global health crisis. Employees’ safety is our top priority and we have developed the Wellness Mitra application that complements the Aarogya Setu App. The Aarogya Setu app helps in contact tracing and sends alert about COVID-19 positive cases in the vicinity. With the use of technology, we are monitoring health of all our employees on a real time basis. The Wellness Mitra App has been developed in-house and it helps maintain the health log sheet of employees across all our locations in the country. It not just helps us to monitor well-being of employees but they can also seek help in case of any emergency through the App. The Covid-19 Task Force at Maruti Suzuki ensures that all health and safety advisories are followed by employees.
