For many car owners, finding the time to drop off a vehicle at a service center, navigating traffic to get there, and figuring out alternative transportation for the day can be a significant hassle. Recognizing the changing lifestyles of its customers, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced the introduction of ‘Quickstop’. This innovative approach to vehicle maintenance is designed specifically to adapt to the busy schedules of modern Indian professionals and commercial operators.

What is the Maruti Suzuki Quickstop?

The Quickstop is a compact, prefabricated service touchpoint designed for rapid deployment and minimal space usage. Rather than building a traditional, sprawling brick-and-mortar garage, Maruti Suzuki has developed these service centers using a modified container.

Despite its compact size, a Quickstop facility is fully equipped with the essential tools and equipment needed to carry out routine maintenance and minor repair services efficiently. The initiative aims to enhance service reach while reducing setup time and infrastructure requirements.

Maruti Suzuki Quickstop Service Format

Bringing the Service Center to You

The core philosophy driving the Quickstop format is unparalleled convenience. These facilities are strategically set up at high-vehicle-density locations such as corporate campuses, airport zones, and fleet hubs. This allows customers to access Maruti Suzuki’s service conveniently at places they frequently visit.

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, noted that as workdays are getting increasingly busier and personal time is becoming more valuable, there is a growing need to make vehicle servicing even more convenient and accessible. The vision is to seamlessly integrate vehicle servicing into a customer’s lifestyle, so that they do not have to go out of their way. Ultimately, the guiding principle is that cars should serve the customers, not the other way around.

Benefits for Office-Goers

For individual customers, this format eliminates the weekend chore of car servicing. Office-goers can simply drop off their vehicles at on-site Quickstop facilities and pick them up fully serviced after work.

Advantages for Commercial Operators

The Quickstop format is targeted at fleet operators as well. For commercial users, minimizing vehicle downtime is essential, as time directly impacts earnings. Having a service facility located directly within fleet hubs helps reduce vehicle downtime and increase availability.

A Sustainable and Scalable Collaborative Model

The Quickstop initiative is built on a collaborative model that makes it a highly scalable and cost-efficient service format. The operations work through a partnership: the facilities are set up and operated by Maruti Suzuki’s dealer partners, while the required physical space is provided by corporate entities or fleet operators.

Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki has ensured that this modern convenience does not come at an environmental cost. The Quickstop facilities adopt eco-friendly practices such as waterless car washing and the use of battery-powered equipment, supporting resource conservation and reduced environmental impact.

Pilot Locations: Where to Find a Quickstop

In its initial pilot phase, Maruti Suzuki has successfully established 10 Quickstop facilities. Currently, these touchpoints are located across the following cities:

  • Delhi-NCR
  • Chennai
  • Hyderabad
  • Bengaluru
  • Kolkata
  • Bagdogra
  • Calicut
  • Surat
