Maruti Vitara Brezza launch on March 8
The pioneer in Indian automobile industry is introducing the hugely awaited compact SUV – the all new Maruti Vitara Brezza on March 8th. This sub 4 metre compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki is long awaited and company now thinks it is right time to release the Vitara Brezza into Indian market. The word ‘Vitara’ in Vitara Brezza hails from the discontinued Grand Vitara model.
Almost everything in Vitara Brezza is built up from scratch. The team behind the car thinks while Baleno is considered as a ‘Make in India’ product, the new Vitara Brezza is a “Create in India” product, which is actually true as the car comes with 98% localisation.
Maruti has already set a target for themselves to reach the 5000 units sales figure per month. With the amount of activity happening and considering the Vitara Brezza’s unique offering we think it could be a cake walk for the company. Also read: Maruti Vitara Brezza aims for 5000 monthly bookings.
The all new Maruti Vitara Brezza would be offered in a number of trims with multiple levels of equipment. Maruti would also be offering three different exterior styling themes : Glamour, Sporty and Urban. All the three exterior types offers different contrasting colours and accessories on the outside and in.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza project is spearheaded by Mr C V Raman who is the executive director, R&D, Maruti Suzuki, who is also the chief engineer of the project.
Under the hood, the new Vitara Brezza is powered by Suzuki’s trusted 1.3 litre DDiS 200 Engine. The engine can deliver a power of 89Bhp. The Vitara Brezza’s engine is same as that of Maruti Ertiga, Ciaz and S-Cross. For now, the car’s engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox – the AMT version is expected to join the product line in future.
The new Vitara Brezza is offered in 6 different variants namely LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+. Even the optional variant of LDi – LDi (O) gets the dual front airbags with ABS, EBD. Also read: How EBD Works?
The base Vitara Brezza LDi variant gets features like power steering, folding rear seat, driver side airbag, audio system with Bluetooth, power mirrors, front power windows, manual Air-conditioning system, tilt steering as well as an engine immobilizer.
Vitara Brezza is available in 5 different colors: Blue, Red, Orange, White and Silver.
The launch which is scheduled on March 9 can pour in more auto enthusiasts from every where! This could be a pretty tough time for Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300.
