Maxxis India, a sub-company of Maxxis Group, one of the world’s fastest growing tyre companies received an overwhelming response at the Surat International Auto Expo 2019. The regional auto show which was held at Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, from 25th January to 28th January, 2019 saw participation from leading auto manufacturing companies and OEM partners. Maxxis Tyres showcased its range of popular product offerings for the India market and also took the opportunity to inform the customers about product features, warranty policies, new offers and their nearest dealerships.
Maxxis Tyes showcased some of the bestselling tyres from its two-wheeler tyres portfolio such as the 90/100-10, M6000, M6016, M6302, M6305, M6182, 90/90-12, M6016, 80/100-18, MAV6R, 2.75-17, M6302, MAV6, 2.75-18/3.00-18, M6304, M6301 to name a few. During these four days, Maxxis witnessed enormous response and received over 2500 walk-ins at the booth. In addition, Maxxis also set up interactive and engaging activities for the visitors at their booth including a dart game where the winners were awarded Maxxis branded merchandise and exclusive discount coupons on the purchase of Maxxis tyres.
Commenting on the participation, Mr. Bing-Lin Wu, Marketing & Retail Sales Head, Maxxis India, said,
Gujarat is growing into a critical automobile hub and is also a strategic focus market for us with our first in-country state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Sanand. We have expanded our reach in the state with close to 250 dealers within the first year. The Surat International Auto Expo gave us an ideal platform to reach out to our prospective customers. We have also received dealership enquires from dozens of dealers from Bandoli, Navsari, Ankleshwar, Valsad, Vapi, Silvassa and Bharuch region.

The Surat International Auto Expo witnessed huge participation from dealers, international business visitors, Govt. officials, publication houses, OEM’s, CEO’s, Engineers, Foreign diplomats, auto enthusiasts, general visitors etc. Various events like seminars, road safety events, biking stunts, showcase of latest products and offerings by automobile companies were organised for the visitors.
Maxxis India inaugurated their first manufacturing facility in Sanand Gujarat in March 2018 and are targeting to capture a market share of at least 15% of India’s two-wheeler tyre market within 5 years. India market is touted to play a vital role in achieving Maxxis’s global vision to become one of the top 5 tyre manufactures in the world by 2026. The company has plans to set up 5 more plants in India which will also cater to the 4-wheeler tyre market.
