Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has recently launched its OBD2-A and E20 compliant premium range of scooters. The company has taken a significant step towards eco-friendly mobility solutions by introducing E20 fuel-compliant scooters, including the Access 125, Avenis, and Burgman Street range. These scooters are capable of running on petrol with an ethanol blend of up to 20%.
OBD2-A Compliant Engine
Suzuki has equipped the Access 125, Avenis, and Burgman Street range with an E20 compliant engine, making them the first offering from the house of Suzuki two-wheelers to comply with OBD2-A norms. The latest version of On-board Diagnostics System, also known as OBD2-A, detects system failures and illuminates the console lights to indicate any faults in the vehicle system to the rider.
Reducing Carbon Footprint
Mr. Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales, Marketing, and After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd, said,
“Suzuki’s powerful 125cc engine, which delivers high performance and has been ruling riders’ hearts, is now E20 and OBD2-A compliant. We plan to gradually make our entire product portfolio compatible with E20 fuel. This is part of our commitment to reducing carbon footprint for a cleaner and greener tomorrow.”

Suzuki has also added Metallic Sonic Silver/Metallic Triton Blue to the Avenis and Pearl Matte Shadow Green to the Burgman Street range, adding further delight for all Suzuki enthusiasts.
