Size-wise, Toyota Yaris sedan is pretty small compared to the latest Hyundai Verna. The all new Hyundai Verna is longer by about 15mm in length and is 50mm lengthier in the wheelbase when compared to Toyota Yaris. Toyota Yaris is the widest among the two.

Toyota Yaris gets segment-first features like roof-mounted AC vents for the passengers sitting at the back and includes features like front parking sensors and gesture controlled touchscreen infotainment system. While in the other hand, Verna gets features like hands free boot release, chilled seats, and fog lamps with projector. Both Yaris and Verna lock their horns when it comes to features offered.

Currently Toyota Yaris is available only in the petrol variant so we will compare only the engine performance of petrol. The 1.5 litre engine of Toyota Yaris churns out a maximum power of 107bhp and 140Nm of torque and is offered in 2 different transmissions – 6-speed manual and 7-speed Automatic. Whereas 1.6 litre petrol engine of Hyundai Verna produces 122bhp and 150Nm of torque and is mated to 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

The on-road price of base variant of Toyota Yaris is priced at Rs 10.6 Lakhs and the top trim variant is priced at Rs 17.5 lakhs (Bangalore). The on road price of Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs 10.91 Lakhs to Rs 16.15 Lakhs (Bangalore).
