TVS Raptor | TVS Akula 310 | TVS RTR 300 – All you need to Know
New TVS Raptor! Well, we are not talking about another new motorcycle from TVS Motor Company – the recent reports from automobile portals have revealed that the much expected upcoming 300cc motorcycle could be possibly called as “Raptor“. There is also another possibility of naming this motorcycle as RTR 300. The name for the production version of 300cc motorcycle is building curiosity among Indian motorcycle lovers.

TVS Motor’s brain child Akula 310, the racing bike concept was first showcased at Delhi Auto Expo 2016 in the month of February. Followed by the immense positive response the motorcycle generated, TVS Motor Company has started working on the production version of Akula 310.
The recent reports from portals like MotorOctane have reported that the bike could be picking the “Raptor” name for the production version.

There are reports which suggests that the launch of new TVS Raptor could happen by the end of this year or by early 2017. To add more spice to this, the official twitter handle of TVS Apache RTR posted the picture of Akula 310 on its page which resulted in rumors that the upcoming motorcycle could be possibly called as Apache RTR 300.
The Akula 310 concept which was showcased at Auto Expo 2016 was first developed with the technical backing of the BMW Motorrard. The TVS-BMW alliance is in existence since 3 years in order to manufacture sub 500cc motorcycle. TVS Akula 310 is powered by 310cc engine which churns out a maximum power of 34bhp and is mated to six-speed manual transmission gearbox. The same engine powers the BMW 310 R motorcycle.
We will have to wait for the official name of production version of this motorcycle from TVS. TVS Akula 310 or TVS RTR 300 or TVS Raptor?
