The second generation Hyundai Alcazar has been introduced in our market and prices begin from Rs 14.99 lakh. Available with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, the Alcazar as standard gets a 6-speed manual transmission while the diesel has a 6-speed torque converter automatic along with the petrol having a 7-speed dual clutch automatic. The Alcazar comes in 9 colour options too while that includes a dual-tone option. Compared to the previous generation Alcazar, the new one is based on the facelifted Creta while having a new look. Hyundai has given it new H-patten headlamps along with a different lighting signature. The grille is new and the bumper is bigger too. Move to the side and it has 18-inch alloy wheels and plenty of chrome while it has been stretched from the Creta along with a longer wheelbase. The rear styling also has large tail-lamps with a larger rear bumper. Like the previous Alcazar, it also has dual exhaust tips.
To enter the Alcazar, you only need to use your mobile as it has a digital NFC key plus the interiors now have a dual-tone shade with brown as well as black. There is no change in terms of the cabin architecture with 10.25-inch screens joined together but at least it looks different. There are some soft touch materials too.
The features list has been upgraded with a focus towards the rear passengers. There is a bench seat as standard for the rear as well as a 6-seater variant. The new Alcazar gets adjustable seats at the rear and extendable thigh support function plus there seats are cooled as well while passengers can electrically adjust the front passenger seat from the rear. There is a table and individual armrests attached to the seats plus wireless charging etc. The new Alcazar carries over features like a voice enabled panoramic sunroof, a powered drivers seat, a 360 degree camera, inbuilt apps, dual zone AC with touch controls and more.
There are also ADAS Level 2 features on offer like Smart Cruise Control, Surround View Monitor, Blind Spot View Monitor, Forward Collision Warning & Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning etc. The new Alcazar competes with rivals like the Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio N, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
