Royal Enfield Achieves Record-Breaking Annual Sales of 1.2 Million Units in FY 2025-26

Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, has concluded the 2025-26 financial year by setting a significant new benchmark in the industry. The company recorded its highest-ever annual sales, surpassing the 1.2 million unit mark for the first time in its history. This achievement represents the second consecutive year that the brand has crossed the one million annual sales threshold, signaling sustained global demand for its motorcycle portfolio.

Annual Performance Overview for FY 2025-26

The financial year ending March 31, 2026, saw Royal Enfield reach a total sales volume of 12,38,659 units. This figure reflects a robust 23% growth compared to the 10,09,900 units sold during the previous 2024-25 financial year.

Growth was distributed evenly across both internal and external markets. Domestic sales for the financial year reached 11,07,343 units, marking a 23% increase over the previous year’s 9,02,757 units. Simultaneously, the export sector demonstrated identical growth, with shipments rising 23% to 1,31,316 units compared to 1,07,143 units in FY 2024-25.

March 2026 Monthly Sales Analysis

In the final month of the financial year, Royal Enfield maintained its upward trajectory. Total sales for March 2026 stood at 1,12,334 units, an 11% increase over the 1,01,021 units sold in March 2025.

Domestic performance in March 2026 was particularly strong, with 1,00,406 units sold, representing a 14% year-on-year growth. While international exports for the month saw a slight dip of 8%, falling from 12,971 units in March 2025 to 11,928 units in March 2026, the overall annual export growth remained positive at 23%.

Strategic Milestones and Infrastructure Investment

The 2025-26 period was also a landmark year for the brand as it celebrated 125 years of “Pure Motorcycling”. This anniversary was commemorated at EICMA 2025 with the introduction of several new models, including the Classic 650 125th Anniversary Special Edition, the Bullet 650, and the Himalayan Mana Black Edition.

To support its continued growth and meet increasing global demand, Royal Enfield announced a significant brownfield expansion at its manufacturing facility in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu. With an estimated investment of 958 crores, the company aims to increase its annual production capacity from 14.6 lakh units to 20 lakh units.

The company’s product strategy remains focused on expanding its mid-size footprint and venturing into new segments. Notable highlights from the past year included:
