TVS Motor Company has officially released the all-new 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V range, bringing significant upgrades and premium hardware to the popular 160cc segment. This latest iteration aims to maintain its position as the most powerful motorcycle in its class while introducing features previously reserved for higher-capacity machines. The updated lineup starts at an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 1,25,440.

Comprehensive Variant Breakdown and Pricing

The 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V is available in three distinct variants, each catering to different performance and technology requirements:

  • Single Channel ABS Variant: The entry-level model is priced at Rs. 1,25,440. It features traditional telescopic suspension and a digital LCD console.
  • Dual Channel ABS with USD Variant: This mid-spec version is priced at Rs. 1,30,690. It introduces upside-down (USD) front forks and adjustable levers for enhanced handling and ergonomics.
  • USD with TFT and Traction Control Variant: The range-topping model is priced at Rs. 1,37,440. It includes all the features of the mid-spec variant plus a 5-inch TFT cluster and a dedicated traction control system.

Premium Hardware as Standard

A major highlight of the 2026 update is the inclusion of premium equipment across the entire range. Every variant now comes standard with a new Class-D projector headlamp paired with LED DRLs. Additionally, the motorcycle features an all-LED lighting package, including LED turn indicators, which enhances its road presence and night-time visibility.

Another significant standard addition is the assist and slipper clutch. This feature is designed to improve rider comfort during daily commutes and ensure smoother downshifts during spirited riding. For improved steering precision, TVS has also equipped the bike with a hydroformed handlebar.

Engine Performance and Ride Modes

The 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V continues to be powered by its refined engine, producing 17.3 bhp at 9250 rpm. To manage this power across varying conditions, the bike features three distinct ride modes:

  1. Sport Mode: Optimized for maximum power and sharp throttle response.
  2. Urban Mode: Tailored for city traffic with a focus on smooth power delivery.
  3. Rain Mode: Adjusts the throttle response and ABS intervention for better safety on slippery surfaces.

The motorcycle achieves a top speed of 114 kmph and maintains a curb weight of 144 kg, making it an agile performer in its category.

Advanced Technology and Connectivity

TVS has pushed the boundaries of technology in the 160cc segment with the top-tier variant’s 5-inch TFT cluster. This unit integrates the TVS SmartXonnect system, offering riders turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts directly on the dashboard. The inclusion of traction control in this segment is a notable safety advancement, providing an extra layer of security for the rider.

For the chassis, the mid and top variants benefit from the inclusion of gold-finished upside-down (USD) forks, which provide better front-end feel and stability. The bike also utilizes radial tyres to ensure superior grip.

Color Options and Availability

The new range is offered in a variety of colors depending on the chosen variant:

  • Base Variant: Available in Matte Black and Racing Red.
  • Mid-Spec Variant: Offered in Matte Black, Granite Grey, and Pearl White.
  • Top-Spec Variant: Available in Matte Black, Racing Red, and Marine Blue.

The 2026 Apache RTR 160 4V range is currently available across TVS dealerships in India. While the ex-showroom prices are standard, the on-road price may vary by city, such as in Mumbai where it is approximately Rs. 1,42,371.
