Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is one of the Adventure Sport series bikes by Bajaj.
Today we are listing out few interesting features in Bajaj Pulsar AS150 that is something new which is not present in the other bikes in the Bajaj Lineup:
New features of Bajaj Pulsar AS150
Brand New Engine:
Engine is the heart of any bike. The Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is powered by a brand new 150cc engine which is air-cooled. To be exact, it is 149.5cc engine which comes with twin spark, 4 valve, air-cooled DTSi mill that churns out maximum power of 17PS at 9,500rpm and a maximum torque of 13Nm at 7,00o RPM. The following engine changes makes the Bajaj Pulsar AS150 2PS more powerful than that of Bajaj Pulsar 150. The Normal Bajaj Pulsar 150 would be soon replaced by the AS150.
Projector Headlamp
Another great point about the brand new Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is its projector lamp. The all new Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is the first ever bike in this segment to be powered with a projector headlamp. The addition of projector lamp in the bike offers good illumination, than that of standard headlamps. This is best suited for roads in India which are poorly lit-up.
Monoshock Suspension
Till today, The Indian Auto-maker Bajaj has been using twin-shock suspension setup for the Pulsar range of bikes, except the 200NS and the new Bajaj Pulsar RS200. It is not wrong to say the new Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is the first ever 150cc Pulsar that offers to feature a monoshock setup. The all-new monoshock setup results in providing the better ride quality and also aiding in handling the dynamics.
Semi-digital Console
When it comes to Instrument panel, Bajaj Pulsar AS150 features a part-analogue-part digital instrument cluster. The analogue tachometer is placed in the centre where as the digital console details like speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and clock are present in the other side. The instrument console is borrowed from that of Pulsar 200NS and it is as well easy to read when the bike is in motion.
Windscreen and Quarter fairing:
The all new Bajaj Pulsar AS150 becomes the first ever 150cc engine Pulsar that offers to sport a demanding quarter fairing. The presence of fairing in the bike and tall windscreen could be very beneficial in shielding the riders from wind blast when the bike travels at the high speed. The quarter fairing help the riders in sustaining higher speeds thereby covering more distance. Apart from the functional part, the fairing does make the Bajaj Pulsar AS150 an imposing motorcycle with respect to visual appeal despite it being a 150cc bike.
