2018 Honda Amaze vs Tata TIGOR Specs Comparison

Honda Cars India launched their much awaited Honda Amaze in India yesterday (16th May) at a starting price tag of Rs  5.6 lakhs. In this article we compare the recently launched Amaze with TIGOR – yet another popular compact sedan in India.

 

2018 Honda Amaze vs Tata TIGOR – Price

The 2nd-Gen all new Honda Amaze starts its range with the base variant E trim(petrol) which is going to retail at a price of Rs 5.6 lakhs. The top of the line trim VX ( Diesel) is going to cost Rs 9 lakhs.

Tata TIGOR starts from 5 lakhs to 7.3 lakhs (Ex-showroom  Bangalore).

 

2018 Honda Amaze vs Tata TIGOR – Engine and Performance

Honda Amaze is made available both in petrol and diesel variants  – both these variants are offered in manual as well as automatic transmission option. The 1.2 litre petrol engine offered by Honda Amaze produces 90 PS of power at 6000rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 110Nm @ 4800 rpm (Both for manual and CVT option).  The 1.5 litre 4 Cylinder, DOHC i-DTEC diesel engine is capable to churn out a maximum power of 100bhp for manual transmission producing a peak torque of 200Nm whereas the automatic petrol variant of Amaze produces a maximum power of 80 bhp and 160Nm which is comparatively lesser than manual one.

Tata TIGOR is available both in petrol and diesel engine variants.  The car  is powered by 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine (Revotron) that churns out a maximum power of 85 PS @ 6000 RPM and delivers a peak torque of 114Nm @ 3500 RPM.  Coming to its Diesel variant, Tata TIGOR is powered by 1.05L 3 cylinder diesel engine (Revotorq)  that churns out a maximum power of 70 PS @ 4000 RPM and delivers a peak torque of 140Nm @ 3000 rpm.  TIGOR is available in automatic variant as well.

2018 Honda Amaze vs Tata TIGOR – Mileage

Talking in terms of mileage the all new Honda Amaze claims 19.5kmpl for the petrol-manual, 19.0kpl for the petrol-automatic, 27.8kpl for the diesel-manual and 23.8 Kmpl for the Diesel-automatic.

Tata Tigor offers a mileage of 18 kmpl for Petrol and 22 Kmpl for Diesel variant. Tata also claims a mileage of 20Kmpl for AMT version of TIGOR.

2018 Honda Amaze vs Tata TIGOR – Service Cost

Approximate Service Cost for Honda Amaze in 5 years is Rs. 50,508 for diesel variant and Rs.30,267 for petrol . It gets 3 free service, first service at 1000 km, second at 10000km , third at 20000km from then on there will be a service interval for every 10,000 km or every 6 months. Paid service will cost a average of 4.5k to 5.5k rupees .

The estimated maintenance cost of Tata TIGOR for 5 years is Rs. 23,000 for diesel variant and Rs. 21,000 for petrol .It gets 2 free service, first service at 7500 km, second at 15000km , third at 30000km from then on you will have a service interval in every 15,000 kms . Paid service will cost a average of 3k to 5k rupees .
