Chevrolet Beat Compact Sedan to be unveiled by 2017
Chevrolet from General Motors (an American based firm) is working on sedan version of Chevrolet Beat along with the next generation hatchback. You could expect the next generation Chevrolet Beat to be re-touched version of existing Chevrolet car.
Chevrolet in an official statement confirmed that the all-new Chevrolet Spark would debut internationally in 2015, and is done keeping developed markets in mind and would not do well in cost-sensitive market like India.
The Chevrolet Beat compact sedan which is currently under development is expected to share much of its styling details with the next generation Indian Beat, and would measure 4 meters in length. Chevrolet Beat siblings are expected to share components with the Chevrolet Spark for the international markets, though the specific details are unknown.
Under the hood, the all-new compact sedan from Chevrolet is expected to be powered by a family of 1.0-litre 3-cylinder diesel as well as petrol engines, which powers the hatchback. The 3-cylinder diesel engine is unique to the Indian market, and the new 3-cylinder petrol engine is essentially a downsized version of the 1.4-litre 4-cylinder Ecotech engine from the new Spark.
