Yamaha YZF-R1S India launch in 2016

Popular Japanese 2 Wheeler manufacturer, Yamaha is planning to launch Yamaha YZF-R1S in the year 2016 in India. The company is planning to launch a variant of Yamaha YZF-R1 in the year 2016. There are rumours flying that the ‘S’ present in the term ‘YZF-R1S’ stands for ‘Street’ and would be the low-spec variant.

There is also a leaked document that the new YZF-R1S bike variant would be available in 3 different color combinations. Yamaha YZF-R1S colors are grey, yellow + blue & grey + white.

Yamaha YZF-R1S Specifications

Yamaha YZF-R1S would be powered by 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder, DOHC petrol engine which churns out a maximum power of 200 PS and a peak torque of 112.4 Nm. The engine of this bike is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
