Mr. Akshaye Barbuddhe, Business Head, EV Charging Solutions, Delta India said,

India is a critical market for Delta and the growth trajectory of our EV charging solutions in the sub-continent has been unprecedented. We are already one of the leading providers for EV charging infrastructure in the country and intend to continue investing heavily in building this business here. These are exciting times for us and our customer installations make us aptly placed to partner in India’s growth story as well as making the government’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) a reality.

Delta is witnessing a rising growth trajectory as the conducive government policies are attracting the private sectors to invest in EV infrastructure. Government agencies like EESL, NTPC, & BESCOM are also driving the creation of EV charging Infrastructure. Earlier this year, Delta launched Mumbai’s first DC Fast-Charger station at Maharashtra Mantralaya. This was a step towards supporting the GOI’s mission to drive electric mobility in the country. Delta’s DC Fast Charger station at the Mantralaya has a capacity of 15 kW and has been developed on the Bharat EV specifications standard.

With a vision to power green mobility in India, Delta is also strengthening its manufacturing capabilities to offer EV DC Chargers upto 150kW by end of 2018 and upto 350kW by mid of 2019, which will adhere to all local and international standards like CCS, CHAdeMO & GB/T. The company has a manufacturing facility located in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand to support the EV charging division. As the short term plan, Delta focused towards creating a strong base with its partners to expand reach over pan India. With the support of its R&D and technical teams, Delta also looks forward to provide the EV charging products that are specific to the Indian market.

Delta has also established an E-Mobility Tech-Lab at its Gurugram premises with an aim to create an indigenous technology capability. It has also set up a platform where the compatibility of the charger with various e-vehicle models can be tested and the product quality and compliance can be achieved. The E-Mobility Tech-Lab comprises of AC&DC EV chargers, Electric Vehicles, OCA certified Testing Tools, Charging Process Simulators, Load Simulators and Charge Point Operator software platform.

With a mission to provide innovative, clean and energy efficient solutions, Delta’s R&D team works consistently to come up with efficient solutions customised as per the demands of the Indian market. Delta India started their operations in EV space 3 years ago. Over the last three years the company has carved a niche for itself in the EV Charging solutions by providing completely indigenised and competent solutions viz-a-viz international standards. Globally, Delta has been active in the E-Mobility space for the past 6 years with dedicated manufacturing facilities in Slovakia and more.
