New 2017 Porsche 911 GTS Line up revealed
One of the world’s popular sports and luxury car manufacturer, Porsche has now revealed the details of 2017 facelifted 911 GTS line-up at the ongoing Detroit Auto show 2017. The international launch of facelift version of Porsche 911 GTS shall happen in coming months. The updated Porsche GTS line-up now includes 5 new 911 models namely Carrera GTS, Carrera Cabriolet GTS, Carrera 4 GTS, Carrera 4 Cabriolet GTS and the Targa 4 GTS. All of these models are powered-up version of Porsche’s turbocharged 3.0-litre horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine.
The 2017 facelift version of Porsche 911 is expected to be powered with engine which is more powerful that has an output figure of 450hp (30hp more than Carrera S). The earlier Porsche 911 GTS was powered by naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six cylinder engine unit.
The all new engine of Porsche 911 is capable of producing 550Nm of torque at 2150rpm, which increased the 2017-model-year 911 GTS’s torque figures by 110Nm than the the predecessors.
The new 911 GTS will arrive in 2 transmission variants – The standard seven-speed manual and it also gets an optional 7-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox. Porsche Carrera GTS and Porsche Carrera Cabriolet GTS is going to retain rear-wheel drive and Porsche Carrera 4 GTS, Porsche Carrera 4 Cabriolet GTS and Prosche Targa 4 GTS would receive a standard 4WD option.
What separates the new facelifted Porsche 911 GTS models from the other facelifted Porsche 911 models is a unique front bumper and also a modified rear spoiler.
One can also identify the darkened tail lamp lenses, a blackened air intake grill with the engine lid, centrally-mounted tailpipes in black, and GTS logos within the lower part of the doors.
All of the new 2017 GTS models from Porsche would receive Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, which sees them ride 10mm lower than the standard 911 models. The lineup also includes 20-inch centre lock alloy wheels which is finished in silk-gloss black.
