Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) today announced its sales numbers for the month of June’23. The company sold a total of 3,24,093 units in June’23 including domestic sales of 3,02,756 units and exports of 21,337 units.
Key Highlights of June 2023:
Ø Corporate: India’s No. 1 selling scooter brand ‘Activa’ recorded another historical milestone by achieving 3 crore customers’ mark in 22 years.
HMSI also created a new benchmark in the Indian two-wheeler industry with the announcement of its ‘Extended Warranty Plus (EW Plus)’ program which offers 3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty on all scooter and motorcycle models up to the 250cc segment.
Ø Product: To further delight its customers, HMSI launched three new OBD2 compliant models: 2023 Dio, Unicorn and Shine 125.
Ø BigWing Network Expansion: HMSI further elevated the #GoRidin spirit with the inauguration of BigWing outlets in Trichy & Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu) and Midnapore (West Bengal).
Ø Road Safety: Expanding road safety awareness in India, HMSI conducted awareness campaigns in Bijni (Assam), Dhanbad (Jharkhand), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Bangalore (Karnataka), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Meerut (Uttar Pradesh), Nashik (Maharashtra), Solan (Himachal Pradesh) and Hyderabad (Telangana). The company also celebrated 9th anniversary of its Road Safety & Traffic Training Park in Bhubaneswar (Odisha).
Ø CSR: Honda India Foundation (HIF) commenced its flagship program Project Pragati (One Step towards Growth)in Patna, Bihar which supports the economically poor youth of the society by facilitating training to them for their livelihood and to develop a sustainable society.
HMSI also conducted week-long (5th-11th June) National Environment Campaign to celebrate the World Environment Day.
Ø Motorsports: The IDEMITSU Honda Racing India team rider Kavin Quintal grabbed 8 points in Round 3 of 2023 FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). Kavin Quintal also remained the undisputed leader of IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R Open class. Rakshith’s strong efforts pulled him to 2nd position followed by Prakash Kamat at 3rd position.
