Honda India Foundation (HIF), the CSR arm for all Honda group of companies in India, has handed over 50 specially equipped Quick Response Team (QRT) vehicles to the Karnataka Police. This initiative is a critical part of HIF’s ongoing national project, ‘Sadak Sahayak: Surakshit Marg, Surakshit Jiwan’.

The handover ceremony, held in Bengaluru, reflects HIF’s continued focus on public-private partnerships in advancing road safety and community resilience. This effort aligns with Honda’s global vision of achieving a collision-free society by 2050.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. G Parameshwara, Hon’ble Home Minister, Karnataka , along with other key officials from the Government of Karnataka and members from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India.

The QRT vehicles are intended to strengthen emergency response and empower police personnel with better tools to carry out their responsibilities effectively and safely. Designed for mobility and agility, they enhance the ability of officers to reach critical locations faster, saving lives, reducing injuries, and improving on-ground law enforcement efficiency.
Customized CB350 Vehicle Features
The QRT vehicles are based on the Honda CB350 motorcycle and are specially equipped with enhancements to aid rapid deployment in high-density and sensitive areas.
The customized features include:
- Revolving flashers and blinkers.
- A public announcement system.
- Siren and flashlight.
- Side and rear storage boxes.
- Two Honda safety helmets.
National Commitment to Safer Communities
This handover is part of HIF’s broader road safety and community welfare programme, aimed at creating safer roads and strengthening public safety mechanisms throughout the state.
As part of a broader national effort, HIF aims to handover a total of 300 QRT vehicles by the end of this year. The recipient states for this national rollout include:
