Mercedes-Benz India Announces Price Correction of 2% Starting April 2026

Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price correction across its entire vehicle portfolio. Effective April 1, 2026, the ex-showroom prices of Mercedes-Benz cars will see an increase of approximately 2%. The luxury automaker attributes this decision to macroeconomic pressures, specifically fluctuating foreign exchange rates and increasing logistical and input costs.

Addressing the upcoming price adjustment, Brendon Sissing, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, stated:

“Starting April 1, we will be implementing a price correction of around 2 per cent across our portfolio. This decision is largely driven by continued forex volatility, particularly the sustained depreciation of the rupee against the euro, along with rising input costs. While we always strive to absorb cost pressures, some price adjustment becomes necessary to maintain business sustainability. Our focus remains on ensuring minimal impact on customers while continuing to deliver best-in-class products and experiences.”

For prospective buyers, this means that purchasing a Mercedes-Benz before the end of March 2026 will ensure they avoid the upcoming premium.

Recent Product Offensive: V-Class and CLA BEV

The announcement comes during a highly active quarter for Mercedes-Benz in the Indian market, characterized by key launches in both the ultra-luxury and electric vehicle segments.

The Return of the V-Class Luxury MPV

Earlier in March 2026, Mercedes-Benz relaunched the highly anticipated V-Class in India at an introductory price of Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). The luxury MPV is now being locally assembled at the brand’s Chakan plant in Pune, making it highly competitive in the premium people-mover segment. Available exclusively in the Extra Long Wheelbase guise, the V-Class is offered in both 4-seater and 6-seater configurations. It features a choice between a 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, both mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Upcoming Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV

Expanding its electric mobility footprint, Mercedes-Benz recently opened bookings for the all-new CLA BEV for a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. Confirmed for an April 2026 launch, the electric luxury sedan will be offered in two variants: the CLA 200 Standard Range and the CLA 250+ Long Range. Built on the brand’s new MMA 800V skateboard architecture, the CLA 250+ Long Range promises an impressive WLTP range of up to 792 km and can add up to 400 km of range in just 20 minutes via DC fast charging. Tentative pricing is set between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 59 lakh (ex-showroom).

Expanding Retail Footprint: New Showroom in Bengaluru

In addition to expanding its product lineup, Mercedes-Benz is actively scaling its retail network. In January 2026, the automaker inaugurated “Viva Star,” a state-of-the-art luxury sales and service facility in South Bengaluru.

Located on Kanakapura Road, the expansive facility spans four levels and brings several firsts to the region. Viva Star hosts Karnataka’s first exclusive Mercedes-Maybach Lounge, offering high-end buyers a unique “shop-in-shop” consultation experience with the handcrafted Maybach Retail Kit from Germany. Furthermore, to support the growing demand for electric vehicles, the service center is equipped with a high-capacity 180 kW EV fast charger, ensuring quick turnaround times for EQ customers in the city.
