Activa creates history, breaks 17 year motorcycle monopoly [Infographic]
Honda Activa 3G continues to reign the 2Wheeler sales chart for seven consecutive month in a row, contributing as much as 38 per cent of the incremental sales of 1,62,703 units in the industry in July. With this, the Activa now becomes the first automatic scooter to overtake motorcycle sales in 17 years.

Activa breaks the 17 year monopoly of motorcycle to become No. 1 selling 2Wheeler of India in 2016 (Jan-July’16)
- In one year, Activa sales have increased by 2.27 lac units compared to 19,910 units cumulative increase of nearest competitor in Jan-July’16.
- The gap in leadership is at all time high of 58,413 units in July’16 which is indicative of higher preference for Activa
- In July’16, Activa sales have reached all time high since start of sales in 2001 to stand at 256,173 units in domestic market.
