Ather Energy Crosses 400 Ather Grid Fast Charging Points Milestone in Tamil Nadu
Ather Energy, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, today announced that it has crossed the milestone of 400 Ather Grid fast charging points across Tamil Nadu. This milestone highlights Ather’s commitment to removing range anxiety and boosting EV adoption by providing riders with hassle-free charging access across cities and major highways in the state.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, commented on the occasion. He said,
“Tamil Nadu has been one of our earliest markets and ever since we entered the state in 2019, we have been investing in building a reliable charging network there. Charging has often been seen as one of the key barriers, and it’s something we’ve focused on solving from day one. Crossing 400 fast chargers in Tamil Nadu is a reflection of that commitment. It’s about giving riders the confidence that a charger is never too far away. As our retail footprint grows, the charging network will continue to scale alongside it, making EV ownership truly seamless.”

In addition to the Ather Grid network, customers will also have access to over 50 fast charging points built on the LECCS (Light Electric Combined Charging System) standard. The Role of LECCS and Strategic Partnerships
Developed by Ather and opened for industry-wide adoption, LECCS allows different brands of light electric vehicles to use the same network. Ather Grid chargers are visible on Google Maps, making it easy for any customer with a LECCS connector on their scooter to locate, navigate, and charge. This further enhances the everyday ownership experience. To expand the charging ecosystem, Ather Energy has established successful partnerships with various organizations in Tamil Nadu, including Coffee Day Global Limited, Zeon Electric Private Limited, Ganga Sweets, and Aswins Sweets for widespread charger deployment.
Ather pioneered India’s first two-wheeler fast charging network in 2018. Since then, it has built the country’s widest electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure with over 3300 Ather Grid fast charging points in India. The network’s fast chargers offer efficient performance, enabling compatible electric two-wheelers to charge at a rate of 15 kilometers per 10 minutes, reducing downtime for users during daily commutes and extended travel.
