In a significant shift, Ather Energy, one of India’s leading electric two-wheeler (E2W) manufacturers, has partnered with Salesforce to enhance its dealership management and customer relationship systems. This move marks a transition from Ather’s in-house CRM to Salesforce’s AI-powered platform, aiming to streamline operations, boost efficiency, and elevate customer engagement.

A Strategic Move for Growth
Ather Energy, known for its innovation in the EV sector, is experiencing rapid expansion, with 350 dealerships nationwide and plans to extend its reach further. To support this growth, the company has introduced Ather Dealer Central, a next-generation Dealer Management System (DMS) built in collaboration with Salesforce. This system integrates Lead Management (LMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and DMS into a unified, scalable platform.
According to Ravneet S. Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, the objective was to develop a customer-centric, agile, and scalable system.
“Our collaboration with Salesforce and the implementation of Ather Dealer Central reimagine how EV dealerships operate. It represents our ambitious technological leap,” he stated.
AI-Powered Transformation
Salesforce’s AI-driven capabilities will play a crucial role in automating processes, enhancing dealer operations, and delivering a seamless customer experience. A key highlight is Agentforce, an AI-powered digital workforce that enables businesses to deploy autonomous AI agents. This technology will help Ather’s dealerships optimize efficiency, redefine customer interactions, and provide real-time decision-making support via a mobile application.
Mankiran Chowhan, Vice President, Financial Services & Consumer Industries, Salesforce India, emphasized the importance of customer experience in the evolving EV market. “As India’s EV market matures, customer experience will be a key driver,” she said.
