This development marks the return of Bajaj Chetak as a legacy leader, which created and dominated the scooter market through the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Now, reinvented in its electric avatar, the Bajaj Chetak has once again earned the trust and confidence of customers, reclaiming the No.1 position in India’s electric scooter segment.
The Journey to No. 1
Bajaj Chetak’s remarkable performance is driven by Bajaj Auto Ltd’s extensive network of over 3,800 sales and service stores, along with the success of its last two launches—the 29 Series and the 35 Series—which together contributed to over 2 lakh units sold in 2024.
The “Best Chetak Yet,” the flagship 35 Series features advanced floorboard-integrated batteries, cutting-edge technology, and enhanced safety features. Customers have deeply resonated with the Bajaj Chetak’s reliability, trust, and solidity—its Lifeproof nature.
Pioneering Clean Fuel
Since the introduction of CNG three-wheelers in India in 2001, Bajaj Auto has been at the forefront of the country’s clean fuel revolution. Furthermore, Bajaj Auto leads the green fuel revolution, holding a 28% market share in CNG and EV two- and three-wheelers during the same period, cementing its position as India’s No.1 clean fuel mobility company by significant margin. Bajaj Auto remains committed to sustainable mobility, with 40% of its domestic sales now coming from electric and CNG-powered vehicles across its portfolio. This commitment is evident not only in the success of Chetak but also in the recent launches of the world’s first CNG motorcycle, the Bajaj Freedom, and the new range of electric three-wheeler commercial vehicles, the Bajaj Gogo—further reinforcing the company’s vision for a cleaner, greener future.
