Government of India has extended the FAME-2 scheme for Electric 2 Wheelers for additional 4 months. The current scheme was supposed to get ended on 31st of March 2024. With the extension of FAME-2 scheme till 31st July 2024, Government has allocated an additional Rs 500 crores towards the subsidy to promote the faster EV adoption in India. Also the approval of FAME-3 Scheme is going to be delayed for few more months.
Vida V1 Plus available at a Revised Price of Rs 97,800
While there was no official communication from Vida, Electric 2-wheeler company owned by Hero MotoCorp – the VIDA website indicated the price reduction on their entry-level scooter Vida V1 Plus. Currently the all new Vida V1 Plus is available at a starting price of Rs 97,800 ( Ex-showroom).
Ather 450S Revised Price at Rs 1,09,999
Ather Energy, Bengaluru based electric 2-wheeler manufacturer has revised the price of their entry level scooter Ather 450S from Rs 1,29,999 to Rs 1,09,999 after a flat FAME-2 scheme subsidy of Rs 22,485. Due to the extension of FAME-2 scheme till 31st July 2024, the company is expected to keep the price of new Ather 450S at Rs 1,09,999.
Ola Electric’s S1 X+ Priced at Rs 84,999
Country’s fastest growing electric two wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric has priced Ola S1X+ at Rs 84,999/- which is certainly may continue till 31st July 2024 due to the extension of FAME-2 scheme.
Other EV players like TVS Motor Company too shall offer the subsidy as per the FAME-2 scheme norms,
