Toyota is now set to become the first manufacturer in India to fit the Anti-lock braking system (ABS) for every locally manufactured car.
Every new Toyota car would be having ABS as standard
Toyota started offering air bags to all the cars which were manufactured after October 2014, the same way, Toyota wants to make ABS(Anti-lock braking system) as default for their all upcoming Toyota models. The ABS feature plays as an very important safety feature.
Every year, over 1.4 lakh people are killed annually in India just alone in road accidents, which is the highest in the world. People are slowly realising the fact that safety is a very important factor to consider when they are purchasing a new car.
One of the manufacturers that has stepped up its pace to make its vehicles safer in India is Toyota. Toyota would be voluntarily making anti-lock braking system (ABS) as a standard fitment in all its locally manufactured vehicles. This comes in addition to the fact that Toyota already offers airbags as standard in all its cars since October 2014. People with the knowledge regarding the same have mentioned that all Toyota vehicles will get ABS starting from the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017.
