GM India opens new Technical Assistance Centre for Chevrolet Dealers
General Motors announced today the opening of the new Technical Assistance Centre (TAC) at Talegaon. This is the first time in India; GM has come out with a dedicated TAC function. The centre will assist all Chevrolet dealers across India to resolve customer product concerns fast and efficiently.
With the launch of this centre, GM has also established a Single Point of Contact at each dealership: the Tech-E – or Technical Expert – who will ensure that any customer concern is resolved at the dealership – if required with the help of the TAC. The TAC helpdesk acts as a remote assistance centre and is further supported in the field by Chevrolet Field Service Engineers who are available to all dealers for on-site support. In total 10 people are dedicated to this operation at the time of starting.
Markus Sternberg, Vice President, Aftersales, GM India said,
