Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Concludes Children’s Month with Road Safety Kids Carnival in Narasapura

In a significant move to instill road safety habits in the next generation, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) celebrated the culmination of Children’s Month with a grand “Kids Carnival” at its manufacturing facility in Narasapura. Held on November 20, 2025, the event was designed to make traffic rules and safety education engaging for young minds.

The initiative, centered around the theme “Safety Explorers: Journey Through Traffic Land,” aimed to transform road safety education from a mundane subject into an immersive, fun-filled experience. By catching them young, HMSI intends to cultivate responsible road behavior that children can carry into adulthood.

Engaging Young Minds: The Safety Explorers Initiative

The carnival specifically targeted school students aged between 9 and 15 years. Unlike traditional classroom sessions, the event utilized creativity and interactive zones to teach essential life skills. Students from government and primary schools participated actively, navigating through specially designed educational setups.

Key highlights of the carnival included:

  • Zebra Crossing Zone: Teaching the importance of pedestrian safety and right-of-way.
  • Helmet Hills: Educating children on the necessity of protective gear.
  • Signal City: A practical demonstration of traffic lights and road signs.

Beyond the physical zones, the event featured road safety quizzes and creative displays. The primary objective was to encourage these children to become ambassadors of safe road behavior, influencing their families and communities to adopt safer riding and driving habits.

A Nationwide Commitment to Safety

The Narasapura event marked the finale of a broader campaign conducted across HMSI’s manufacturing footprint. Similar engaging activities were organized at HMSI plants in Manesar (Haryana), Tapukara (Rajasthan), and Vitthalapur (Gujarat). Through these combined efforts across all locations, the company successfully engaged over 2,600 participants.

This on-ground engagement is part of a massive CSR commitment. HMSI currently operates 10 Traffic Training Parks (TTPs) and 6 Safety Driving Education Centers (SDECs) across India. These facilities use scientifically designed modules, virtual riding simulators, and “Kiken Yosoku” (danger prediction) training to make learning impactful. To date, these initiatives have reached over 10 million individuals across the country.

Vision 2050: Zero Traffic Collision Fatalities

Driving these initiatives is Honda’s global safety slogan, “Safety for Everyone.” The company has set an ambitious global vision to achieve zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda motorcycles and automobiles by the year 2050.

In the Indian context, HMSI is aligning its efforts with the Government of India’s direction to reduce road fatalities by half by 2030. The company believes that road safety education in schools and colleges is vital to creating a safety culture that empowers future generations.

Digital Learning with E-Gurukul

Recognizing the need for accessible education, HMSI has also launched E-Gurukul, an innovative digital road safety learning platform. This initiative offers training modules tailored for three specific age groups, ranging from 5 to 18 years.

To ensure inclusivity and regional relevance, the modules are available in multiple languages, including Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and English. The platform supports live streaming and downloads, making road safety education accessible to schools across diverse regions of India.
