With positive growth during the month backed by favourable customer sentiment, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India today announced its sales numbers for June 2022.
Commencing second quarter with positive momentum, HMSI’s total dispatches registered 67% growth with 383,882 units in June’22 (355,560 domestic and 28,322 exports) compared to 232,497 units in June’21 (212,453 domestic and 20,044 exports).
Commenting on the market situation, Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said,
“The growth expectations with which we set out in the beginning of FY’23 is gradually turning into a reality. Timely arrival of monsoons has impacted the economic indicators favourably. We expect the coming months to sustain this upward trend as more customers look for two-wheeler mobility options.”
Key Highlights of June 2022:
- Ø Business Milestone: Delighting its valued customers, HMSI announced that its cumulative two-wheeler sales in West Bengal have now crossed the momentous 20 Lac units’ mark. Parallelly, Honda Shine family achieved over 20 million cumulative customers in Central region.
- Ø Honda BigWing Network Expansion: Further strengthening its premium business network in Southern India, HMSI inaugurated its Honda BigWing outlets in Puducherry and Perinthalmanna (Kerala).
- Ø Dreamers Café Gate Opening: Offering a storied history of Honda’s illustrious past in two-wheeler industry, HMSI welcomed customers at its Dreamers Café situated at company’s Global Resource Factory, Manesar (Haryana).
- Ø Road Safety: Expanding road safety awareness further, HMSI, jointly with Delhi Traffic Police, conducted road safety summer camp for college students in Delhi. Furthermore, the company organized awareness camps in Agra (Uttar Pradesh), Jaipur (Rajasthan) and Nurpur (Himachal Pradesh). The company also celebrated 8th anniversary of Road Safety & Traffic Training Park in Bhubaneswar (Odisha).
- Ø Corporate Social Responsibility: Reaffirming the need for sustainable existence, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, on the occasion of World Environment Day (5th June), conducted its week-long National Environment Campaign.
- Ø Motorsports: The IDEMITSU Honda SK 69 Racing team’s Rajiv Sethu & Senthil Kumar earned total 25 points for the team at the 2022 Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) Round 1.
