Honda 2 Wheelers Sells 6,81,888 units in April 2018
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has made a flying start for the fiscal year 2018-19 with announcement of its big bang sales in the month of April itself.
Honda 2Wheelers India domestic sales breached the 6 lac mark for the first time ever in April’18.Domestic sales grew 15% from 5,51,732 units in April 2017 to 6,35,811 units in April 2018. Both Honda’s scooter and motorcycle sales are at highest ever in the start of FY’2018-19.
Creating new benchmark of scooterization, Honda breached the 4 lac scooter sales mark in single month for first time. Scooter sales sky-rocketed by 15% from 3,68,550 units in April’17 to 4,23,527 units in April’18.
Honda’s motorcycles sales too breached the 2 lac unit mark for the first time, growing 16% from 1,83,182 units in April’17 to 2,12,284 units in April’18.
Speaking on April 2018 sales, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said,
India’s love for Honda is growing like never before & Honda 2Wheelers India has made a cracker of a start of 2018-19 with record breaking sales in April itself. Last April, Honda crossed 5 lac units’ mark for the first time and now just one year later, we have breached the 6 lac units mark too. We created history across all segments and thank all our valued customers for trusting in Honda. Accelerating scooterization of India, Honda has for the first time surpassed 4 lac units’ milestone in single month scooter sales while motorcycle sale too has crossed the 2 lac mark threshold. Not only domestic, exports demand too is stronger than ever before.
