Honda & Hyderabad Traffic Police Educates Children about Road Safety
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. today announced a summer camp for school children in the city in association with Hyderabad Traffic Police. The 2018 summer camp was inaugurated by chief guest, Mr. Anjani Kumar (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City and Mr. Rohit Agarwal, Zonal Manager, Andhra Pradesh Customer Service, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. Developing children as safety ambassadors Honda aims to catch them young. It is essential to develop safety as a daily habit in all aspects starting as a pedestrian to a rider.
The summer camp, starting today, will continue for 10 days. Mixing fun with road safety education the camp will have lots to offer to children.
- Students in the age group 9 to 12 years will get to learn about motorcycles and importance of riding gear in a fun way on specially imported 50cc CRF 50 motorcycles.
- Taking forward road safety to personal safety Hyderabad police will be teaching self-defence to the participants.
- Fun educational activities like road safety games and quizzes will be conducted every day.
- Keeping the fun element alive will be sessions on personality development, art, craft, dance and music.
Speaking on the significance of this summer camp, Mr. Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President, Brand & Communication, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said,
For the past 3 years Honda 2Wheelers India has been actively conducting various road safety activities in Hyderabad and has so far trained over 52,000 people including nearly 30,000 kids. This summer vacation, Honda is joining hands with Hyderabad Traffic Police to conduct a unique summer camp at the traffic training park in Goshamahal. Honda firmly believes that students are the nation builders of tomorrow. Learning about road safety early in life will make the students better riders in the future. These students will also act as a check on parents, introducing safe riding habits in them.

Indians are realizing their dream of becoming independent and safe riders via Honda’s safety riding and training programmes. The society too has recognised Honda’s efforts. In 2018, Honda was felicitated by Hyderabad Traffic Police for promotion of road safety training and awareness. Leading the cause, Honda has adopted 12 traffic parks in Delhi (2), Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Yeola (Nashik), Hyderabad, Indore, Ludhiana, Coimbatore, and Karnal.
