Hyundai Elantra launched in Mumbai at INR 13.6 Lakhs
One of the most anticipated launch of this year, for which all the auto-ethusiasts has been waiting for – The all New 6th Generation Hyundai Elantra. The legacy of of segment D Premium Sedan that started its journey in 1990 and today its evolved in this aesthetically alluring dynamic and Fluidic. 2.0 sculpture design, bigger engine, better safety and best in class luxury. Elantra, over the decades, a master piece that has proven to define luxury at its best. It has been a Global best seller, selling over 11.5 million units since its inception from 1990.
As shared by the MD and CEO of Hyundai India Mr. Y K Koo, Hyundai being the largest exporter in past 13 years, winning Indian Car of the Year award for 3 years in a row, wishes to achieve market leadership through its new models and the 6th Generation Elantra is shaped to achieve the same.
The all new Elantra comes in both 1.6L Diesel and 2.0L Petrol versions also offering in Manual and Automatic transmission to match the comfort of the user. High strength, Steel structure, Light Aluminium Engine, Best premium features are some of its many offerings. With the launch of All New Elantra, Hyundai has also launched its new customer care services. It includes Hyundai Loyalty programs, 3 years/30,000 kms of Warranty, 3 years of Roadside assistance, 3 times MAP Care and 3 Home visits for instant help.
The Engine comes in 1.6L Diesel (Turbo Charged) and 2.0 Petrol using light weight aluminium parts which churns out 128ps of power, 26.6Kw of Torque for Petrol/25.2Kw for Diesel and an impressive mileage of 22.5 Kmpl with both 6 speed Manual as well as automatic Transmission. It also comes with two Drive mode selections, a Eco mode for general cruising or Sports mode to unleash the full power of the engine. In handling terms the suspension is MacPherson struts in front and Tubular CTBA for the rear giving perfect driving pleasure.
With all these features, Hyundai has not compromised on its Safety meeting highest standards of safety in crash tests getting TSP+ ratings. High strength steel, 6 air bags, ESC, VSM and HAC are to name a few to give the best in class safety precautions for the driver. Hyundai has also introduced a new feature called ‘The Smart Trunk‘ where the driver can access the rear boot just by passing from the rear. Hyundai to offer 4th year warranty complimentary as their Introductory offer. Total of 9 variants are offered for 6th Generation Elantra and 5 Color options in Blue, silver, black, red and White.
The pricing, as announced by Mr. Shrivastav, Sr. VP Sales and Marketing for Hyundai India, the starting base Elantra model S MT to have a price tag of Rs. 13,61,549/- ex-showroom Mumbai.
